Hublot Builds New Ties with Motor Sports

It is possible to draw a lot of parallels between watchmaking and motor sport. These fields are united by a continuous quest for high-tech materials skillfully applied by experienced craftsmen for creating high technology items.
Hublot is one of the watch brands that maintain close relationship to the world of motor sports. The brand uses similar materials thoroughly explored by the brand's specialists in order to produce timekeeping devices of ultimate performance. Hublot has recently established two remarkable partnerships announced at Monaco on April 25-26.
On 25 April Hublot offered its support to the organizers of the commemorative Monaco Senna Celebration. The event is to be on 25 May at the Hotel Fairmont. Twenty years have passed since Ayrton Senna's first victory on the Monaco circuit. Monaco Senna Celebration will feature a big auction sale of one-of-a-kind motor sports memorabilia. The sale is aimed to benefit the Senna Institute, with Viviane Senna, Ayrton's sister, as its President. The sale is included in the program of a retrospective exhibition to take place in Monaco in the period of 19-27 May.
Hublot has long been involved in supporting underprivileged children. The brand has established 'Main dans la Main' Foundation. It supports orphans in India, having received 10 per cent of annual sales. The Senna Institute received from Hublot an exclusive model of the Big Bang All Black. The dial of the timepiece will reveal the champion's signature depicted in red. The watch, a highly desirable item for every collector, will be available in a limited edition of just 250 pieces that have already attracted their buyers. The full proceeds of the timepieces' sale will go to the Senna Foundation.
On 26 April a unique exhibition took place in the Place du Casino in Monaco. Hublot was glad to present its exclusive Porsche Super Cup model. The vehicle's revolutionary design features the colors of the brand. Olivier Maximin 'stared' at the wheel of the racing car. Hublot sponsored this prominent driver for the 2007 season. The Super Cup championship is organized on the same circuits right in the morning of the Formula 1 race competition. It serves as a great beginning for the Formula 1 Grand Prix.
The Hublot Swiss watchmaking company, with energetic Jean-Claude Biver as the brand's CEO, is sure to maintain the successful fusion between exclusive watchmaking and challenging motor sports.
