Watch and Jewelry Show to Take place in the Middle East

On April 25 the Expo Centre Sharjah will house the 22nd edition of the MidEast Watch and Jewelry Show. The exposition will be visited by about 350 visitors that would represent some of the world's greatest jewelry masters. The Show is considered to be the longest running event during which watches and jewelry of various masters are to be appreciated by connoisseurs.Each year the event is the first one to display the newest and best jewelry collections. The 2007 edition of the Show is a five-day affair which comprise various diamonds, precious stones, gold and diamond jewelry, pearl sets and watches.
The visitors of the exposition will be able to see the works of jewelry masters from Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Hong Kong - China, India, Singapore, Italy, Jordan, Lebanon, Malaysia, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Turkey, and the UAE.
The Show is to attract mainly by a collective participation through national expo rooms from such countries like: Hong Kong - China, Italy, Thailand, India and Singapore.
One of the most active participants of the show is Hong Kong's pavilion, which once again is expected to serve as a major crowd puller. It has always been the biggest pavilion in the region with its over 60 participants, all of them being talented jewelers.
Another pavilion, that the attenders to the show are eager to visit, is the Italian one. In comparison with previous editions, the Italian pavilion should occupy a much bigger exposition place. Other pavilions, including India, Thailand, and Singapore are expected to amaze with their very special designs and creations.
The General Director of Expo Centre Sharjah, Mr. Saif Al Midfa, said that the Show experiences a continuous growth for a decade and a half of its existence. The growth will continue as the upcoming show will be bigger both in terms of number of exhibitors and occupied space for exhibitions.
He mentioned that there will be 3 halls of Expo Centre Sharjah. All of them measure a total of 12,000 square meters. Thus the exposition will be able to host over 350 jewelers from across the world.
It is worth mentioning that the last MidEast Watch and Jewelry Show, held from October 30 to November 3, 2006, was visited by not less than 40,831 visitors.
