Cartier Love Day Internationally

Cartier has announced it is celebrating its Love Day on global scale. Cartier's 'Declare Your Love Day' event is to take place on June 8 as an official Love Day in New York, to be followed by events in many other countries of the world.
Last year Cartier celebrated its Love Day only in North America. This year the company will celebrate Love Day worldwide by organizing events in all 247 of its boutiques. Ten percent of sales from the brand's Love collection will be donated to local charities in each country to host the event.
In the U.S., Cartier is going to raise money for eight new charity causes. Cartier Love Straps are available in eight different colors - a different color to symbolize a different charity event. The price for the Love strap is $ 475 - $ 100 are given directly to charity.
Cartier invited celebrity ambassadors to join the cocktail party and intimate dinner at the Cartier mansion on June 7, hosted by Frederic de Narp, Cartier North America president and CEO. The list of celebrity invitees comprised Julianne Moore, Rihanna, Usher, Eva Mendes, Elie Wiesel, Faith Hill, Rachel Weisz, Djimon Hounsou,and Tim McGraw.
Saks Fifth Avenue offers the Cartier Love bracelets exclusively at its Fifth Avenue flagship during a week time, having initiated the partnership with the Monument to Smile art installation that debuted on the 31 May at Rockefeller Center.
Cartier raised more than $ 1.2 million from the sale of Love Charity bracelets in 2006 to benefit UNICEF and The Breast Cancer Research Foundation among other charity causes.
The first Cartier Love bracelet was created back in 1969, having instantly become highly demanded. In 2006 Cartier developed a Charity Love bracelet on a silk strap. Cartier wants its Love bracelet to be perceived as a symbol of commitment and someone accepting this commitment. This year Cartier has also enlarged its Love collection with elegant Love watches.
